Malawi is a landlocked country in southeastern Africa, known as "The Warm Heart of Africa" for its hospitable people. Defined by the massive Lake Malawi covering over a fifth of the nation it features a dramatic landscape of rift valley, highlands, and plateaus. The capital is Lilongwe.
