Culture Collections began as a family run platform. The goal is simple, "to create ways to allow people to showcase their culture and heritage in an ever changing world".
What began as a method of expression, has now developed into a collection of cultures.
What Sets Us Apart
Culture Collections is exactly what the name means. It's a Collection of cultures together in one space. Pretty simple and straight to the point. We have been operating since 20?? and have developed our business to where it is today. As a small business, the capacity and demand grew over time (so did our family!) so we made the decision to reset, restart & reinvest with a new vision ahead.
We produce hoodies and t-shirts for adults and children, to represent your culture, in a form of lovely, simple flag combination design. The garments work well for everyone. It offers a casual and practical solution of comfortability, whilst still standing out from the crowd. Our garments have been perfect for cultural days, events and birthday gifts.
We have our Single Heritage range for individuals who like to represent their country and we have our multi heritage range, for individuals who like to represent more than one country. We can print ALL flags from around the world. Whether you're from the Caribbean or Asia, Africa or South America we got you! It was important to be able to cater to our customers and fulfill that need of being represented.
Having an online platform helps to facilitate the fast pace, ever evolving world we live in. As we understand that technology isn't for everyone, we do our best to make sure our customers can be served efficiently and effectively. We accept most credit and debit cards and a pay in 3 installment plan, giving our customers the flexibility and choice they may need. How It All Began
So how did Culture Collections start you ask? It all started with me being in Jamaica and reflecting on my heritage and feeling proud of this part of my heritage. I'm Sarita and I'm of dual/multi heritage - Guyana, Jamaica and Montserrat.
Being a dual, I've always had the feeling of not belonging to one or the other, but nevertheless I have always loved to represent my countries when I can. If you're of dual/multi heritage, we've all had that experience of going to carnival with a whistle, bandana and flag for all the countries we want to represent and hoping we don't lose any! 😅
I ran the idea with my partner whose from Dominica and we wanted to find a way of expressing my dual/multi heritage at othe same time and of course for others to be able to do the same. Having children it was also important for them to be able to express themselves and identify their heritage.
I came across so many lovely cultural garments from other businesses, but not one that had what I needed, and could be catered for. This is when Culture Collections was created.
